57th International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 Logo Design Competition
Background
The International Mathematical Olympiad is the top-level and largest-scale global mathematics competition for secondary school students, and has been held each year in a different country or region since 1959 with the aim of providing a platform for exchange and contest for young mathematical talents around the world. With the support of the Education Bureau, Hong Kong will host the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad in July 2016, in which more than 100 countries will participate.
To promote the awareness of mathematics in society through Hong Kong’s hosting of the International Mathematical Olympiad, and to enable more students to participate in this event in different ways, the Organising Committee of the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 (‘the Organising Committee’) now holds the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 Logo Design Competition and invites all secondary school students in Hong Kong to submit logo designs for the event. The champion design can become the official logo of the 57th International Mathematical Olympiad 2016.
